Gloucester City Council, working in partnership with the King's Walk Shopping Centre and the Civic Trust, is re-opening the King's Walk Bastion for public tours again this summer. The chamber contains the remains of part of the Roman city wall and a medieval defensive tower, probably constructed during the reign of Henry III.
Venue: The King’s Bastion, King’s Walk (outside Primark)
Start Times: 11.00, 11.45, 12.30
Duration: Approx. 30 Minutes
Accessibility: The Bastion Chamber is only accessible via a staircase leading underground and it’s subterranean location makes it very humid.
